William Spangler has been instrumental in the success and growth of physician practices and health care facilities for nearly 30 years. In 1990 he co-founded Strategic Resource Management, Inc. a national physician recruitment and consulting firm, and has served as its president from its inception through its current merger into . His primary focus includes the recruitment and retention of physicians and surgeons, and the review and negotiation of physician employment and compensation agreements. Mr. Spangler consults with hospitals, medical practices and the physician community regarding hospital/physician interaction, and the structure and development of relationships and agreements that enhance the viability and growth of both parties.

Mr. Spangler's consulting and legal service includes over eight years as a general counsel for St. Anthony Medical Center, Inc.; his responsibilities included corporate, transactional and healthcare law issues for the medical center, nursing home, and affiliated companies. Mr. Spangler advised the Medical Center regarding medical staff issues, management of medical malpractice defense issues, review of quality assurance and risk management procedures, and relationships with third party payors and regulatory agencies. Mr. Spangler successfully represented St. Anthony's in seven Administrative Appeals of adverse Determination of Need decisions by the Northern Indiana Health Systems Agency and the Indiana State Board of Health.

Mr. Spangler holds a Juris Doctorate from the Vanderbilt University School of Law in Nashville, TN. His legal curriculum included studies in health care law and policy at the Vanderbilt Institute of Public Policy Studies. He is an active member of the American Health Lawyers Association and Indiana State Bar Association. Mr. Spangler is admitted to the practice of law in the State of Indiana and the United States District Court for the Southern District of Indiana.
